A Little About Me
My Practice
With 10 years of experience as a therapist, I have had the privilege of working with adult individuals and couples from diverse cultural backgrounds across the globe. My practice is rooted in a deep sensitivity to intercultural dynamics and personal journey of immigration. I primarily draw from a constructivist psychotherapy framework, while integrating elements of mindfulness practices, body-oriented psychotherapy, and other humanistic modalities to provide a holistic and tailored therapeutic approach.
What I'm Like
My name is Ana.
For me, psychotherapy is a life passion and one of the most valuable achievements of our civilization. My commitment to this calling is, in large part, a result of valuable personal therapeutic experiences.
I like to point out that my job, along with the titles, knowledge and skills that go with it, did not “spare” me the homework I had to do in my inner world. Awakening of curiosity and compassion for myself and others, honesty and acceptance of my own humanity have always and only liberated me. These are some of the values that guide me in my work. The journey to a better insight into myself has shown me that stepping into the field of therapeutic change is bold, meaningful and enriching.
In my adulthood, I had the opportunity to travel a lot and experience the expat life. I embrace the challenges of transitions because they often allow different parts of me to manifest, and some new to be discovered. Over the years, I have fallen in love with the feeling of turning into “local” and having a corner of my own in more than one place around the globe. Today, I successfully combine my love of travel with dedication to my clients from all around the globe in an online setting.
What Can You Expect From My Sessions
I believe that every meeting between a client and a psychotherapist is unique and the relationship we build in therapeutic practice is one of the most important resources for the client’s change. Therefore I tailor my work through careful contact with the person across from me. On my therapeutic journey, I’ve found myself working with clients from various cultural backgrounds around the globe. Those experiences shaped me and directed my growth towards wide cultural sensitivity in my work.
I write a monthly newsletter where I invite you to join me on a journey of becoming more attentive and gentle with yourself. Together we delve into the often overlooked topics that we may hide from ourselves, find difficult to articulate or hesitate to discuss even with our therapists. Also here you can read about the way I approach topics I encounter in my work as a therapist.

Our first session
In our first session together, my primary goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel comfortable and heard. We'll start by getting to know each other; I want to understand what brings you here and what you hope to achieve.
In my practice I usually start with three simple prompts:
1) What motivated you to seek out therapeutic support right now?
2) Have you had any prior experience in seeking out support in domain of mental health?
3) What would you like me to know about you?
This initial conversation is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and feelings at your own pace and ask me any questions related to my approach or background.
